INTEGRATED SYSTEM RT® All the implants may be assembled by just three joints and/or adjusting your own kit.
We consider implantology all those surgical techniques useful to rehabilitate a patient suffering from partial or complete edentulism; in our case, implantology means the using of dental implants, in other words, devices made of metal or other materials, directly inserted in the jaw or maxilla bones through a surgical activity. These implants allow connection with fixed or removable prosthesis to restore the masticatory function; they can be made in different shapes, inserted in different sites with various techniques and then connected to prosthesis with different timing.
Dental implantology is divided in endosseous and subperiosteal. The endosseous one is the most diffused, it uses cylindrical or conical implants, threaded on the outside and with an inner connection which can vary depending on the upper stump, or without outside thread but with stump inner connection systems as above, or single-piece full screws (implant body and stump made as a single piece from the full, hence without any connection) blades and needles.
The endosseous implantology can be divided in two main schools: the Italian and Swedish ones. The Italian one started before and even if not so diffused it is still today conceptually as important as the second one. The introduction of the first specifically designed implant for immediate loading, the use of titanium in implant production (Stefano M. Tramonte), the concept of biological respect area on the implant bodies and the intraoral welder (PL. Mondani) are all important innovations introduced by the Italian school.
